I am in my third year at the University of Edinburgh studying Film and Television BA (Hons). During my time at university, I have made my own films as well as collaborating on undergraduate and postgraduate films in a variety of roles. Currently alongside my degree, I have a role remotely assisting the Curator for Young People at Tate Liverpool and I am an editor for Edinburgh University Television Society. In 2020, I received the Royal Television Society Scotland Student Award for Sound on a University of Edinburgh graduation film, The Lost Sock (dir. Alex Starr. 2019). I have also worked on graduation, third year and first year films at university in roles from production designer, sound recordist, script supervisor and editor. The graduation film FLIT (dir. Jack Allen. 2019), for which I was sound recordist, won a Royal Television Society Scotland Student Award for Comedy in 2020. I have also directed my own films. My film, My Last Duchess (2018), was chosen to be part of the London BFI Future Film Scene Event in 2019 and another, The Lammas Hireling (2018), was selected to be screened at the Glasgow Film Theatre as part of the Glasgow Youth Film Festival (2019). In 2018, I applied for and won a Royal Television Society Bursary Award. In November 2018 and 2019 I travelled to London to take part in their masterclasses and the RTS community. It led to getting a mentor who is a television drama writer. I am an alumni of the BFI Film Academy, had work experience at Lime Pictures and with both local Liverpool and BBC filmmakers. I am a member of Tate Collective Producers at Tate Liverpool, and have made films in response to various exhibitions that have been shown in the gallery as well as documenting multiple events at Tate Liverpool. In November 2020 I judged the Tate Etc writing competition which involved reading submissions to discussing with the magazine editors whose work should be published in Tate Etc magazine. Read Less
