Factual Series Producer, Edit Producer and Shooting P/D, with over 20 years’ experience producing, directing and edit producing for programmes and leading production teams. I have worked across multiple factual genres, and have a particularly strong track record in History, Docs and Current Affairs programmes. My SP/Exec credits include the BBC1 doc 'Our Yorkshire Stately Home', the BBC4 history series 'Canals – The Making of a Nation' and 'Railways – The Making of a Nation', and the weekly BBC1 primetime current affairs series 'Inside Out'.

I have Edit Produced nearly all of the programmes I have worked on, ensuring that sequences achieve their maximum drama, emotion and humour. I have excellent storytelling skills, and am confident working on character-driven ob docs, as well as presenter-led series and formatted factual shows.

I am very comfortable managing production and edit teams, setting and overseeing production and post schedules, creating show bibles and supervising multiple edits. I am used to working closely with talent (from household names to specialist presenters new to TV), making tough editorial decisions, managing a range of personalities, and dealing with recruitment, access, clearance and compliance issues. I have plenty of experience with archive and gfx.

My Factual experience extends across History and Current Affairs shows to character-driven Docs and popular formatted factual series (including travel, antiques, health and property programmes). My scripting skills are first-rate (I have a Masters in English, and have also a large portfolio as a magazine journalist). My leadership and organisational skills, along with my strong editorial judgement and calm, level-headed temperament, have made me a valued asset to a wide range of productions.

As a P/D, my most recent project was a 60-min episode of 'A Very British History' for BBC4, exploring the history of the British Chinese community. I am a very experienced and accomplished self shooter, with substantial overseas filming experience (USA, Canada, South Africa, Malta, Czech Republic, Italy, France, Ireland).
