Jessica Mackie Hunter is a queer Czech/British screenwriter and a recent graduate of Screen Academy Scotland, currently based in London.During her studies she had two short student films produced, ‘10 Pineapples’ and ‘Keith & Kenna’. She has been shortlisted for Well Tempered Production Development Lab in 2021 with a feature film pitch ‘Mackie’, her 30’ coming-of-age pilot script ‘Chameleons’ is currently in the Manchester Lift-Off Film Festival 2022 Official Selection and her fantasy/medical TV script 'Roll Play' is a quarterfinalist in the ScreenCraft Sci-Fi & Fantasy Screenwriting Competition 2022.Jessica populates her scripts with characters we don’t often see on screen, such as LGBTQIA+ folk, immigrants and young people suffering from mental illness.
