With my journalistic background, I am known for crafting films about historical secrets and corporate cover up’s. To find, record and expose what is missing from the stories we tell ourselves is one of our great challenges and what I most fulfilling in this work.
I series directed THE ASHLEY MADISON AFFAIR with Wall to Wall for Hulu. The original docuseries explores the hack of Ashley Madison, an infidelity dating website for married people that caused shockwaves with one of the most damaging and scandalous data breaches of all time. The series explores infidelity, morality, cyber-shaming blackmail the stories of ordinary people with big secrets and a hack that remains unsolved to this day.
THE REBELLIOUS LIFE OF ROSA PARKS co-directed with Yoruba Richen, premiered at Tribeca Film Festival and is currently streaming on Peacock|NBC Universal. It is the first ever feature length documentary that charts the full story of the celebrated American icon and “Mother of the civil rights movement” — it unveils her radical vision of justice and courage over a lifetime. Awarded a Peabody, a TV Academy Honor (aka a special Emmy) that recognizes remarkable programming that “harnessed the extraordinary power of storytelling to fuel social change.”
THE TRIAL OF LOUISE WOODWARD with Voltage revisits the twists and turns of this high-profile and controversial case that played out on TV screens on two continents and continues to divide opinion 25 years on. DIAMONDS AREN’T FOREVER, part of the BAD BOY BILLIONAIRES series with Minnow Films for Netflix charts the spectacular rise and fall of jeweler Nirav Modi, accused of India’s largest bank fraud. I field produced the London leg of Netflix’s BECOMING, a behind-the-scenes film following former first lady Michelle Obama on her book tour. I executive produced the Emmy-winning documentary JACKSON, a close look at the fight over the last abortion clinic in Mississippi that became the subject of the Supreme Court case overturning Roe v Wade.
