I am a resilient and adaptable Self-Shooting Producer/Director and Editor with six years of freelance experience creating independent short-form factual and narrative films, as well as other media content. I am skilled in a range of software packages such as the Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro X, DaVinci Resolve, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite, as well as proficient in using industry standard camera and sound technologies. I also own an FS7 and a BMPCC4K, as well as professional sound and post-production equipment. Demonstrating strong editorial judgement, a meticulous eye for detail, and innovative idea incubation capabilities, I aspire to use my skills and expertise to flourish in creative roles. As someone who is mixed race, Muslim and female, my relationship with my identity and my relationship to the concept of home has been a profound yet complex experience, and so my work channels that, through two core themes: what does it mean to be human and what does home feel like.
