Jason Damman got his start in aviation as a teenager, flying radio-controlled (RC) aircraft in northwest Ohio. He then went on to fly for a commercial airline (ExpressJet Airlines) for 20 years. As drones were gaining popularity and becoming more widely available in 2015, Jason picked up his first drone and started his drone services business, V1DroneMedia, shortly thereafter. Jason is a self-taught photographer and videographer with a strong interest in all things music (he even moonlighted as a DJ in Cleveland clubs in the 2000’s), which enables him to shoot, edit and fully produce videos. He also has a degree in electrical engineering, trains first responders to fly drones in Cuyahoga Community College Drone Academy, and is a founding member of North Coast Drone Alliance, a non-profit organization dedicated to educating public and government entities on drone-related subjects. Jason’s drone services business, V1DroneMedia, provides commercial video production, aerial photography, cinematography, visual inspections, mapping, and other drone services to various industries.
