I’ve had plays on at the Southwark Playhouse, Union Theatre and Canal Café Theatre in London, Alphabetti Theatre and Northern Stage in Newcastle and a three-week run at the Edinburgh Fringe, as well as locally at the Penrith Playhouse, Staveley Roundhouse and Brewery Arts Centre. My play ‘Bridges Apart’, set during storm Desmond, was selected as one (from over one thousand entries) of seven short plays, which ran at the Union Theatre for a week. I’ve performed live comedy at venues such as The Stand and Alphabetti Theatre. I wrote and performed for BBC Newcastle’s comedy radio sketch show for almost two years. My 45-minute comedy drama radio play was produced by 1Five Events & Film. I was the winner of the Hunter Davies Award, the winner of The Cumberland and Westmorland Herald Creative Writing Competition and runner up for the Anne Pierson Award for Young Writers. I was longlisted for The First Laugh Comedy Writing Competition and shortlisted for Silent Uproar's Writer Support Plan.My one woman show '10 Things to do in a Small Cumbrian Town' is currently running at Alphabetti for 3 weeks:https://www.alphabettitheatre.co.uk/10thingscumbriantownMy website is : www.hannahsowerbywriter.co.uk
