I am a motivated and exceptionally organised professional with a background of 2 years in the post-production industry. I excel in high-pressure environments and relish the opportunity to continually acquire fresh skills along with the theory behind them. My expertise in AVID has been honed through both my professional career and personal projects. I have seamlessly blended my strong organisational and creative problem-solving abilities with my aptitude for rapid technical knowledge absorption, positioning myself for a successful transition into the role of an efficient edit assistant.

I started my industry experience through work experience while studying Television Production at The University of Gloucestershire on a practical-based course that allowed me to make short films of various genres, including factual entertainment, documentary, fiction, multicam gameshow formats, etc. The ability to have unlimited access to our own live studio to hone skills was a particular highlight of my studies, in addition to my cult film module.

After graduating, I secured a job as a runner at Bristol's leading post house, 'Films@59', where I used my 11 months to learn as much about post production as possible through building relationships with colleagues and self-initiating 5 hours of weekly shadowing media operators, sound mixers, online editors, and offline editors. In doing this, I used training Nexis' and tracked the skills I needed to learn to become a media op/edit assistant. I then worked at Gorilla new Bristol Post House as it was being constructed, shadowing their ops and engineers building a Dobly certified sound suite.

All kinds of content interest me, whether factual or fictional; however, I find myself drawn towards factual, having grown up watching a lot of natural history as a child, watching a lot of river monsters, Meerkat Manor, Steve Backshall, Bear Grylls, historical documentaries, etc. But I have a deep appreciation for fiction, whether it be TV, film, or books.
