I love filming observationally and I am keen to tell untold stories. My graduation film 'Lenka' from the National Film and Television School has been acquired by The Guardian and released in February 2022. It shows the world of a crystal meth addict who cares for her elderly parents whilst relying entirely on the energy boost provided by the drug.I see every project as a rare opportunity to gain new and uncharted access. In my most recent independent film I am following a Native American ritualist who mastered the art of conducting a ceremony as a process of personal healing and service to the community. Becoming a protégé of a respected Shoshone elder and ceremonial leader represented finding home for White Eagle as well as freedom from the complicated upbringing of his mormon step-family.Finding strong contributors, maintaining access in sensitive context and telling character-led stories is something I am seeking to pursue in the future. I am a skilled shooter comfortable working independently, in remote locations or as part of a larger crew. I have extensive experience in research and development, with gaining difficult access and in forging and maintaining relationships with contributors. I am proficient in lighting interviews and working with sound recorders and radio-mics. I have done running and camera operating across large music-video productions, live music events and intimate studio recording sessions.I have independently produced and directed short documentary films, music performance shorts, poetry films and video art commissioned by BFI, National Gallery in Prague and Arts Council England. As filmmaking is my greatest passion in life, I am seeking to develop my experience in order to pursue a career as a Shooting Producer/Director on observational documentaries.
