Yassmine Othman comes from a family of multicultural artists, Moroccan Turkish Hispanic by father and French Portuguese by mother. From her paternal grandfather Abderrahman who was a musician, played the violin and clarinet in addition to being an exceptional artist through her aunt Assia a gifted actress from Tangiers to her mother Alexandrina who was a well known circus trapeze artist. The first time she discovered her passion for acting was when she was around 15 during her first play, The Wizard of Oz as Aunt Emma which included her first improv this took her, the following year, to get the main role, Anne Frank, in the theatrical version of Anne Frank's Diary.Unfortunately, as in many families, you needed to have a "more profitable" career, so she had to put her acting aside for some years. Thanks to her fluency in foreign languages (English, French, Italian and Spanish) in which she is bilingual, she chose international trade career and worked in that field for 30 years.One day a friend asked her to feature in his short film as a stand in, she enjoyed it so much that she decided to take acting classes in Spanish, English and French, and continues whenever she has the chance. For about three years she combined her passion for Performing Arts with her job as an Export Manager until 2017 at the age of 53 when she decided to retire from her sales job and dedicate full time to her acting career.
