My interest in film and video production started at age 16. It was at this time the film industry experienced a progressive change moving from analog to digital video production. My father, having not grown up in the age of computers, enlisted my services and together we formed a new creative team at Filmcom Pvt Ltd, where I worked under his guidance for 3 years. I realised that film production was indeed the career path for me. I sold my car and used the money to buy a video camera. In 2012 I was offered a job at Antelope Park to start-up and run a new film and photographic department there. My duties involved filming Lion Walks, Elephant Interactions and many other activities on the reserve. In 2013 I was offered the opportunity to join Goddunnit Promotions as a freelance cameraman. Having already contributed footage for the series “Roaring With Pride”, I began work shooting two more series; “Lodging With Lions” and “Cute To Killers”.In 2012, with the help of my partner Micaela Hamilton, we formed Reel Life Productions. A film production company based in Zimbabwe specialising in wildlife documentary film making. To date we have produced two documentaries in house. Our first in 2016 entitled "Wild Dogs - Chasing Tales", and the second "Kanga Pan - An African Horror Story" in 2018.In 2019 I was offered the roll of Director of Photography for the National Geographic production AKASHINGA: THE BRAVE ONES. Executive produced by three-time Academy Award winner James Cameron and spearheaded by the Avatar Alliance Foundation’s Maria Wilhelm and Kim Butts, AKASHINGA won two awards at the EarthX Festival, was a featured selection at the Tribeca Film Festival and at the American Film Institute documentary festival, among others.In 2020 I worked as a DOP for BBC'S Green Planet being released in 2022. I also worked as a cameraman for Plimsoll Productions, Wall To Wall Media, NatGeo and a few others yet to be announced.My passion, as far back as I can recall, has always been nature and wildlife. And with my chosen career I intended to reveal to the world the wonders of nature, bringing them closer to our world’s natural beauty from the comfort of their homes. I’m also a passionate conservationist and believe that we must all do our part to protect our planet and it’s inhabitants. I feel I can contribute to this protection by raising awareness through my film productions. Read Less
