I’m a wildlife cinematographer and Director of Photography based in Zimbabwe, specialising in natural-history storytelling, animal behaviour and challenging field productions across Africa.

Over the past decade I’ve worked across major natural-history productions including Our Planet, The Green Planet, Our Universe, Earth’s Great Rivers II, Growing Up Animal, Animal, Big Beasts, Secrets of the Elephants, A Year on Planet Earth and Underdogs.

My DOP credits include National Geographic’s Akashinga: The Brave Ones, Our Universe, Lodging with Lions, Otterly Incredible and Kanga Pan, as well as sequences for My Best Friend’s an Animal and My Best Friend’s an Animal 2. I have also worked as DOP and cinematographer on a number of productions currently under NDA.

My strengths are long-lens wildlife cinematography, animal behaviour, drone and GSS/stabilised camera systems. I’ve spent more than a decade filming wildlife across Africa, often in remote and unpredictable environments where fieldcraft, patience and an understanding of animal behaviour are just as important as the technical side of the camera.

I’ve filmed a wide range of species and behaviours, from cheetahs, elephants and wild dogs to jackals, vultures, ostriches, bat-eared foxes, fish eagles and quelea, and I’m particularly drawn to complex behavioural stories that require time, anticipation and close collaboration with field teams.

I’m based in Zimbabwe and available internationally. Through Reel Life Productions, which I co-founded with producer Micaela Hamilton, I’m also involved in developing original natural-history stories, securing access and identifying unusual or under-filmed wildlife behaviour across Africa. Read Less
