Having started out my career as an Assistant Script Supervisor for feature films, I have made the transition to working in factual programming due to my longstanding passion and interest in documentaries. I am an avid consumer of current affairs combined with an interest in sociological and historical topics.

I have a particular passion for historical and contemporary retrospective documentaries which place the subject at the centre of the story telling process. I also enjoy social commentary on contemporary issues and bringing a light to the complexities we face in today's society. Being of a mixed South African and British background has enabled me to appreciate the importance of paying a high level of attention to the view points and experiences of individuals.

My experience as an Assistant Producer and Researcher has enabled me to work across all stages of a production. I have experience in researching stories, gaining access with contributors, setting up and working with the director on shoots, and working across the edit. I have a strong eye for detail which was developed in my training as a Script Supervisor and has been cultivated towards the needs of documentaries. Working under high pressure and taking on greater responsibility to support Producers and Directors is highly motivating for myself, and I have the skillset and record to demonstrate my ability.
