Finn is one of the UK’s leading documentary and commercial directors. A degree in Fine Art and a rich and varied documentary career have resulted in much sought after and recognisable style that is honest, effortless and visually accomplished. His campaigns for the likes of McCain, Cancer Research, Shredded Wheat, and Nokia have won a clutch of awards. Previously Finn had established himself as a versatile documentary and drama director. His 35mm short film Flak, based on a short story by Alan Sillitoe (Saturday Night, Sunday Morning, The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner) was nominated for Best Film and Best Cinematography in the Soho Rushes Film Festival. Prior to this his hard hitting and critically acclaimed BBC documentary Summer With The Johnsons won him a Prix Europa. This anarchic caper about a criminal gypsy family and his investigative doc The Professional Charmer also won him a Royal Television Society nomination for Best New Talent. Finn also wrote, directed and series produced drama-docs for the globally recognised series Banged Up Abroad and Alive. These intense shows shot on location in India, Thailand, Canada and Norway. He even spent a week in the Amazon jungle and was blindfolded and dropped in the Azerbaijani wilderness as part of Channel 4’s uniquely adventurous series ‘Lost’. Finn is represented exclusively for commercials in the UK and the US by Pulse Films.
