My skills and experience primarily come from academic research. For the last 5+ years I have been studying and working as a postgraduate, firstly to complete my MSc in Evolutionary and Behavioural Ecology, and most recently I am approaching the end of a 4 and a half year PhD in Behavioural Ecology, specifically examining animal vision's role in colour change for camouflage.Looking to the future, I have known I wanted to take the analytical, research, and analysis skills from my academic background, together with my passion of natural history and science, and move towards natural history production. Throughout my doctorate, I have developed and cultivated strong research skills, both in the acquisition and interpretation of primary source publications, and the synthesis of the information gained into support for arguments and themes in my writing and presentation.While the majority of my expertise and experience comes from a biological sciences background, I had the opportunity to spend three months with Humble Bee Films at the end of 2020, as part of my doctoral programme. Alongside giving me valuable experience of modern development and production of natural history content, this cemented my desire to pursue a career in this space. Read Less
