Chef I grew up on a small farm in Dorset. My first job in a restaurant was at 14, it was hot, fast and furious and I was instantly hooked into the world of hospitality!
At 19 I moved to London to learn more and over ten years worked as a chef at
Lidgates the Butchers, The River Café and Moro before setting up and running The Mudchute Kitchen on London’s largest city farm near Canary Wharf.
I now work as a freelance private chef who focuses on sourcing brilliant local produce where ever I may be.
TV I have recently presented two shows for
Channel 5 and was a judge on
Channel 4’s Beat the Chef.
(
weatherspoons vs Toby Carvery: Which is Better? 2024 and Aldi vs M&S: Who does Christmas Better? 2024 ).
Wanting to champion my local Dorset food scene in 2024 I presented and helped put together a 6 part series called
A Taste of Dorset which champions our farmers, food and drink producers. It is now up on
Amazon Prime Video.
Writer I write recipes and food articles for BBC food, Condé Nast, The Field Magazine, Deepest Books series and Dorset Magazine.
