I’m an experienced and creative shooting director making compelling, original documentaries.

I craft high-end single films and limited series which are thought-provoking and always led by extraordinary stories. Whether I’m making an hour-long observational documentary or an archive-driven retrospective series, I pride myself on getting to the heart of the story and opening up hidden corners of society, building lasting relationships with great characters and telling their stories imaginatively.

I film to a high standard on a range of cameras, allowing me to create a strong visual identity and bring each scene to life. I’ve got a lot of experience in the edit: structuring unique films, telling stories across multiple timelines and working with archive.

To each project I bring my current affairs background, my skills honed screenwriting for drama, and my years of experience directing on leading documentary series. I come with a proven track record of negotiating tricky access, conducting thorough and surprising interviews and directing talent. I’m passionate about supporting the people around me on a production and bringing fresh ideas to projects, so as to make films of the highest quality.
