Read MoreCecilia de Lena is a London based editor, screenwriter and colourist, and she's currently in her second year of the Editing MA course at the National Film and Television School in London. She graduated from the Met Film School 2 years ago, obtaining a specialisation in film editing and screenwriting.Cecilia's work ranges across fiction, documentary, music videos and commercials, her short films having been selected at festivals worldwide. Most recently, her graduating project, "Forget me not", which has been selected for the LA Cinefest, MCIFA Awards, the Short Film Corner of Cannes and won "Best Original Story" at the Top Shorts festival for the March 2018 edition and "Best Short Film" at the ARFF for the October 2018 selection. Before starting her Ma at the NFTS, she worked on "Brexit", a 4 mins short film about the struggle in the relationship between a European guy and an English girl during Brexit, and "Fomo", a Crypto obsessed young policeman must fight his fear of missing out as he waits before opening a position that would hopefully change is life in collaboration with the Queen Mab Production in late 2018.During her course at the NFTS, she has worked across a wide range of genres - factual, drama, commercials and short film formats. She aims to bring sensitivity and curiosity to the material she is editing, while she also enjoys exploring the power of the film medium, having used animation, archive and montage to tell stories in unexpected ways. Her stylistic inclination is to cut for emotional effect and density, with constant attention paid to rhythm and pacing. She’s committed to giving any project a cinematic look, the reason why she loves the job. Motivated to work alone or as part of a team, she enjoys nurturing creative relationships with directors and other members of the crew.
