I am a Producer and Science Communicator and I work at the intersections of science, education and storytelling. I work as the Lead Science Producer for an ocean education media project, called Ocean School, with the National Film Board of Canada and Dalhousie University. We've 70+ short documentary videos, 360 immersive experiences, AR/VR, and interactives with ocean stories from the Canadian Atlantic coast, Pacific coast, Cocos Island-Costa Rica,Townsville-Australia, and Raja Ampat-Indonesia.I am interested in natural history filmmaking, responsible documentary filmmaking and including voices and stories that are often overlooked in natural history or ocean conservation films. I have a background in Marine Biology and International Development Studies and I am interested in ocean stories with social justice angles. I have been working in the film industry since 2017.I am a PADI Divemaster, cold water diver, and I spend most weekends underwater. I am constantly improving my dive training. I am willing to get commercial, tech, CCR training in the future.We are at a critical moment to drastically change our behaviours to reduce the impacts of climate change and ocean changes, and visual storytelling is a powerful way to do so!
