I have known Michael professionally for past 6 years. I first worked with Michael on the first series of ‘The Biggest Loser” Australia, where he was responsible for 5 weeks of programming [7 nights a week] in his role as Producer. As a self-starter he brought imagination, intelligence and a keen sense for a story, to all his work. I later worked with Michael on the first production for Shine Australia, the US game show, “Minute to Win It”. In his role as Series producer he was responsible for Games testing, producing the Host, Darren McMullen and played a pivotal role in casting, show rundowns, scripting and Post-production. Most recently I have been aware of Michael’s work on the current series of Masterchef Australia, a licence that Shine owns. As the most popular reality cooking series ever screened in Australia, in Series 3 it faced the challenge of appealing to an increasingly expectant audience. Alongside its E.P., Michael came up with many of the big ideas that have defined the series. He then delivered on those ideas by working in the field, and Post production and contributed significantly to the success the show enjoyed. Michael is a versatile and an experienced Series Producer/Director with a keen understanding of the demands of television production. He is a creative thinker and an effective manager of people and production issues.
