Although I trained in theatre design and have been more fortunate with theatre costume work, I would really like to move into tv and film long term. I have been doing dailies and wardrobe assistant jobs since 2014. I’ve got varied on set/studio experience with crowd: including contemporary drama, some period; quiz shows; plus art films. What I would really like is an opportunity to be on a project for the whole shoot and as much as possible of the prep, hence trying to get a trainee role.During the COVID lockdowns I have been working to improve my knowledge of costume for film and HETV, including courses with the Creative Media Skills and Screen Skills. From my theatre work, I can bring I have strong transferable skills of working with actors, sourcing, pulling, fitting, alterations, repairs and maintenance, plus basic skills of breakdown, dyeing and costume-prop making.
