I am an organised individual, who keeps good time management and I have exceptional skills in MS Office, especially Word and Excel. I can confidently say that I watch a lot of television, ranging from all genres whether it be drama, comedy or reality/documentary series. I find joy in immersing myself in a story and following the character through their journey, as a form of escapism but also in order to gain perspective. That is one of the things I love about television. Some of my favourite programmes to watch right now are: This Way Up (2019), Fleabag (2016), Schitts Creek (2015), Staged (2020), I May Destroy You (2020), Normal People (2020), The Crown (2016) and Derry Girls (2018).I am very interested in building a career in television production, seeing how an idea goes from script to screen. I want to understand how the development process works and that every element of creating a series is just as important as the idea itself. Whilst I love escaping into another world in non-factual television series, factual programmes and entertainment are an incredible way to learn about different communities and the things certain people go through. I wrote my History dissertation on the exclusion of British civil rights history on screen and made a comparison to U.S. civil rights cinema to show that in the U.K film industry there has been an eradication of our Black history. This is shown through lack of representation. I believe that it is imperative that those working in TV, work to make the industry accessible and inclusive. I passionately believe that television has the power to change lives and minds and it is our responsibility to see that through.
