I am a queer, mixed race writer performer based in Glasgow. I recently gained my masters (distinction) in television fiction writing from Glasgow Caledonian University, and completed a two day script editing and development course with John Yorke. From these courses, I learned about story structure, character development, editing and formatting, and how to apply these specifically to television scripts. I’m eager to learn the ropes and use these skills in a professional setting.My main style of writing is dark comedy drama with a firm grounding in reality. My dream is to create an issue lead comedy drama that engages and entertains the audience. I would like to work as a storyliner on a long running drama, or a script editor.My previous work is mainly in theatre and short films. I have written, produced and performed two shows for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and have performed several times at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival. I am currently developing a comedy series with a group of female Scottish writers, and have taken on the lead writer/story editor role.I have extensive improvisation experience, and also strong organisational skills.
