I am an experienced Producer Director, predominantly working within the fields of documentary and factual entertainment, including a number of first series requiring extra developmental production to sculpt the format. I am very skilled in working with presenters and talent, ensuring they are well briefed so as to be comfortable and confident delivering to camera. I have line produced, produced and directed drama from vignettes to complete reconstruction with fully scripted scenes. I also have comprehensive post production experience in the edit including scripting, selecting music, GFX and recording VO. I am practiced in accommodating notes and liaising with S.P.s, Execs and Commissioners where needed and proficient in working to tight deadlines. I also have extensive knowledge of archive and licensing. I self-shoot (FS7, FX9, C300 and GoPros), as well as owning a Sony A7 kit. I hold a current US iVisa.
I’m not easily unnerved, reacting quickly and effectively under pressure. I am reliable, flexible and work with persistence to find strong contributors with unparalleled stories. I am comfortable dealing with sensitive situations and negotiating access and work well both independently and as part of a team. I enjoy managing teams and working closely with local fixers and crews.
Outside of work I actively follow my interests and passions, mostly around water. I have been a member of The Shark Trust for over 20 years. I have taken part in worldwide research expeditions with scientific organisations such as the Shark Research Institute and The Manta Trust.  I am a member of the Natural History Museum, Chatham House and also have a keen interest in art and have attended several art history courses in recent years. 
I have two (older) children and before my career in broadcast television, I was an aircraft dispatcher for bmi British Midland and Virgin Atlantic in London and New York, where I thrived on the pressure and responsibility of my role.
