Tom is an incredibly valuable member to have in a team. He gets the best out of contributors, shoots to a very high level, cuts his own material and has an energy that really makes a difference to the mood of everyone he works with.

First off, working with Tom makes long days easier as he is super hard working, never phased, very calm under pressure and in stressful situations - very resourceful and full of intuition. Also - great banter!

Then comes the shooting skill - he is a wonderful and talented shooter, a pleasure to cross shoot with and he also takes direction very well, improving consistently and taking every piece of advice into his repertoire - making him a stronger shooter every day. He could quite easily shoot any sequence on his own and cover all the edits needs whilst making it look beautiful.

As a director - Tom has a fabulous way of making people feel comfortable and at ease, he reads situations very well, and as a DV for me he was great editorial support but never spoke out of turn. He was always thinking about story and content, very conscientious - he cares about what he's producing - and he has a keen eye for a story and what makes for a good sound bite.

Oh and then I could go on and say what an asset Tom was when setting up our locations in the US and UK, an absolute charmer on the phone - and tireless energy - he cleared multiple incredibly difficult locations for us, and somehow got un-negotiable fees erased!

Overall I would say Tom is a fabulous all rounder with an incredibly promising future as a PD, and I would absolutely love to work with him again - i'm sure it won't be long before he's directing me!! Snap this guy up whilst you still can... x
