I am an experienced BBC Elevate Scheme 2020/2021 alumni and graduated from Falmouth University in 2012 with a First Class BA Honours in Digital Media. 

I am interested in pivoting into AI roles within the creative industries and have experience using various AI models to generate creative ideas and outputs including; Google AI Studio, Runway, Claude, Google Gemini and NotebookLM among others. I’ve expanded my technical expertise through targeted training, including the Google AI Essentials and Google Prompting Essentials courses provided through Google/Media Trust. I am currently working through the Digital Marketing and E-commerce Professional Google Career Certificate and have attended several Reskill & Upskill AI courses and webinars from the Natonal Film and Television School and Video Prime Pathway (Amazon).

Alongside AI opportunities, I am seeking roles within Programme Acquisitions, Commissioning, Advertising and Senior Assistant Producer/Producer roles on primetime television shows. I have proven experience in casting for Factual Entertainment, Quiz and Entertainment shows, including auditioning, cutting casting tapes, and ensuring contributor welfare on location and in studio.

I’m an adaptable, positive communicator with excellent time management, comfortable working remotely, in-office or on location. As a wheelchair user based in the South (outside the M25), I bring valuable lived experience of disability that informs inclusive content creation and production practices.

When I’m not contracted, I also work ad-hoc as a Customer Service Advisor at Henley Library and present Children’s Hospital Radio. In 2017, I was awarded the ‘The Peter Baker Award’ by Radio Cherwell in the presence of the Mayor of Oxford. This award recognised my dedication and commitment to the well-being of patients at Oxford Hospitals. That same year, I co-presented Radio Cherwells’ ‘Wicked Weekday Show’ and as a team, we were awarded Gold for ‘Best Programme with Multiple Presenters’ by the Hospital Broadcasting Association at the National Hospital Radio Awards.

Before breaking into television, I developed research skills through work experience in BBC local radio. At BBC Radio Berkshire, I sourced and booked guests for The Bill Buckley Show and gained experience with BBC broadcast systems. I also worked with BBC Radio Cornwall to produce a debate on disability issues, securing guests for both phone and studio interviews. Coordinating with the editor and producer, I recorded and packaged an outside broadcast interview that served as a tease trailer and reiterated key points from the programme. I liaised with guests, creating contact lists, and communicated with the editor and producer to ensure an effective and informative programme. I successfully secured two of Cornwall’s major bus companies to contribute on air and continued to interview callers after the broadcast.

Beyond broadcasting my interests include; adaptive skiing with DisabilitySnowsportUK using a Sit-Ski, swimming and musical theatre. I’ve also lost over 5 stone with Weight Watchers and featured in the June 2019 issue of their WW Magazine, sharing my experience as a wheelchair user.
