When I'm not contracted to a series, also work ad-hoc as a Customer Service Advisor at Henley Library and present Childrens’ Hospital Radio.

For my service, I was awarded the ‘The Peter Baker Award’ in 2017 by Radio Cherwell in the presence of the mayor of Oxford, ‘for dedication and commitment to the well-being of the patients in the Oxford Hospitals’.

That same year, I co-presented Radio Cherwells’ 'Wicked Weekday Show' and as a team we were awarded Gold for ‘Best Programme with Multiple Presenters’ by the Hospital Broadcasting Association at the National Hospital Radio Awards.

To further my research skills, I previously pursued work experience locally and joined the team at BBC Radio Berkshire, there I was sourcing and securing guests to appear on ‘The Bill Buckley Show’ whilst learning about different BBC Broadcast Systems. I also previously worked with BBC Radio Cornwall to produce a debate phone-in segment. My responsibility was to source and secure guests and contributors to discuss disability issues, either by phone or in studio. I also recorded and packaged an outside broadcast interview, that would act as a tease trailer and would reiterate points made in the programme. I liaised with guests, creating a list of contacts, whilst communicating with the editor and producer, to create an effective and informative programme for both disabled and non-disabled listeners. I managed to successfully secure two of Cornwalls' major bus companies to contribute on air and I successfully interviewed callers further after broadcast.

Besides the broadcasting industries, my interests include disability skiing with DisabilitySnowsportUK using a Sit-Ski, Swimming and Musical Theatre. I have also lost over 5 stone with Weight Watchers and have featured in the June 2019 issue of their WW Magazine, talking about my experience as a wheelchair user.
