I've provided commercial, business and legal affairs advice on the production of myriad films and television programs over the course of my career. As a producer, I was responsible for leading or enabling all aspects of the acquisition, finance, development, production and distribution of each multi-million dollar production. These included: script review and comment; shaping of stories, book and screenplay rights acquisition; casting; investment; budget & schedule; completion bonds; negotiating deals for above-the-line talent and HODs; VFX and post-production services and general production management including weekly review and approval of cost reports; supervision of UPMs and line producers; talent guild relationships; negotiations with sales agents and distributors including SVODs and tax credits. I also provided hands-on creative advice and input during development and on-set, often under pressure, with ambiguous direction and unpredictable personnel.
