It was during my NCTJ that I worked for the Ealing and Hillingdon Times where I covered a plethora of topics from regional elections to the London riots. I also interviewed individuals as distinguished as the former Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer John McDonnell. In this role I utilised my ability to connect with people, which was formed through my travel and charity experience at domestic as well as international not-for-profit organisations.I then became a business journalist, still chasing my desires to learn about the world around me. Working at ICIS I found myself presenting to trade associations on the petrochemical markets I covered and had my work referenced in investor notes by institutions as significant as Barclays. Finally, in my time at Serbian think tank CEP, I had the chance to contribute to improving the world around me. For the organisation, I studied and assessed Serbian public services for an EU-funded project aimed at influencing Balkans' governance.
