I have covered modules including; writing for the media, Non-fiction writing, writing for the stage and writing trauma. I am confident in social media usage and writing for mainstream audiences and can use this in supporting productions and advertising.I have worked with Crimewatch BBC as a studio runner where I had to keep across who was arriving and what their individual needs were, as it was a live programme with different guests arriving daily, including senior police officers and victims of crime. I escorted people to the greenroom and ensured they were on set at the correct time. I also wrote up case summaries for the call handlers and I answered the phone to the public, who were of varying temperaments, who rang to give information that went to the police.I also worked as an office runner for Crimewatch where I transcribed the rushes ensuring they were accurate, time coded and any sound issues were flagged to the director. Most were needed in a fast turn around time and I had to prioritise which to complete first by judging which film was to be edited next. I also found filming locations for the directors to shoot their interviews and checked for new stories on police websites for appeals that could make new and interesting stories for the programme. I also wrote tweets for social media and content for the web pages. I also completeted the guest lists and logged their requirements ready for the day to ensure their needs were met. While working as a researcher for Wales and Co, The Wales Report, I sourced a 200-member audience and completed a questionnaire over the phone as part of audience casting, and was mindful of political balance and the BBC’s value of offering diversity. I also created a seating plan that met the needs of the varied audience.I was again hired by Wales and Co to be a runner for the Welsh Election Debate, where I checked-in the programme’s audience and ensured everyone was in the correct seat. I answered their questions and directed people around the studio. As an outside broadcast, I carried equipment and set up on location. I helped the camera and sound crew with their checks and ran answers and questions with the presenter to help work out timings. During transmission, I looked after guests in the greenroom and also gave snacks and water to the crew.
