I am currently making an exclusive access feature doc for Sky Docs and NBC Universal on the life and work of the late Professor Stephen Hawking. Before this, I Series Directed the recently aired film that followed an ambitious expedition to Antarctica to find the lost shipwreck of famed explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton. This ground-breaking project joined a research vessel for 2 months as it broke through sea ice, in one of the most extreme environments on earth, and sent robot submarines 3km down to the seafloor. In a rather hotter desert, I have also Series Produced and Directed an exclusive access feature doc for Discovery (not yet broadcast)- following an Egyptian team of archaeologists and 200 workers in Egypt's Valley of the Kings as they hunt for missing royal tombs.I was privileged to direct the edits of two episodes of the award-smashing series One Strange Rock for National Geographic (which then went to Netflix and Disney+). Hosted by Will Smith, Exec'd by Darren Aronofsky, and with astronauts as the story tellers this series told the story of Planet Earth in a way that broke the norms of natural history film-making.I have also SP'd and PD'd a three part blue chip natural disasters series for Channel 4 and PBS NOVA, SP'd a six part forensic archaeology series (Indiana Jones meets CSI) for Smithsonian Channel and Five, show-run a 2hr CGI dinosaur special for NGCI's Dino Week (now on Disney+) and PD'd high profile historical drama-docs for C5 and National Geographic (Britain's Bloodiest Dynasty for C5 and the top-ten rated series Nazi Megastructures for NGCI).I am highly experienced at producing history, archaeology, science and engineering films and at producing dynamic, high-end CGI. I've delivered Cine Golden Eagle award-winning films for PBS NOVA and Discovery: Curiosity, and highly rated and critically acclaimed films for BBC 2, Nat Geo, History, C4 and C5.
