With over 4 years of experience in creative roles, a career highlight has been working as an assistant in the art and camera departments and as a Producer’s assistant for the last couple of years. As part of producer Felix Vlassis’s core team, I worked with multiple agencies and clients. This built my teamwork skills as I would often be seamlessly integrating into an established team. We delivered a variety of projects, from large scale such as the Cineworld Unlimited Advert (120+ crew) to more complex productions such as Paddy Power Roundtable (Multicam), Cancer Research (VFX based) and Sky XMAS moments (custom zoom call with Multicam a studio set up). Being one of the ‘go-to’ creatives led me to be recruited as a teacher for the BFI Network. As a facilitator to a number of young creatives and institutions, I utilised my problem-solving skills as well as my knowledge of camera and edit equipment to create a memorable experience for my students.As a BAME creative, I believe this role would allow me to further develop my creativity and try new things. As a freelance editor/VFX Editor, I found my love for creating and stitching stories in the Edit room; working remotely and on-site with clients and producers for award-winning projects. Coming from Escape Studios, I have learned in-depth VFX and animation workflows and gained professional software certifications too. I hope this opportunity can allow me to further progress and apply my skills in a different environment. Teamwork and communication are at the heart of what I do. Outside of the creative life, I love exposing myself to a myriad of cultures, I have travelled the world exploring some of the most remote parts of countries and meeting the locals. Additionally, I participate in sports such as international handball, parkour and skydiving. I am humbled to meet some amazing people around the world, together we have worked on projects pushing the boundaries of our stereotypical world.
