I have 15 years’ experience creating short and long form documentaries on a wide range of subjects from cutting edge science and natural history to conservation and archeology. 

Writing: I have written scripts for the BBC, Apple tv, Nat Geo, Discovery, History Channel, Channel 5, Channel 4, Smithsonian and The Weather Channel. I also have experience developing and writing program outlines and treatments.

Directing: I have experience directing complex multi camera sequences and am comfortable interviewing anyone from scientists and conservationists to homicide detectives and extreme athletes. I'm capable of building long term working relationships with contributors (I spent 2 months on an icebreaker in the Southern Ocean filming and living alongside scientists and wreck hunters) and also have experience directing drama reconstruction and experiments/stunts.

Self-Shooting: I am confident operating the FS7, C300 and shooting time lapses on the 5D.

Location Filming: I have negotiated access to and coordinated shoots in difficult and remote locations from the arctic circle to the borneo jungle. I have directed shoots in Antarctica, Australia, South Africa, Antigua, America, Iceland, Japan, Quebec, Norway, Mali, Ghana, Hawaii, Lithuania and Europe.

Casting: I have cast experts to present science and history series and tracked down all sorts of contributors from the long-lost relatives of murder victims to a woman with Alien hand syndrome.

Talent: I have filmed on location with Griff Rhys Jones, Jeremy Irons, Ella Al-Shamahi and Michael Mosley. Read Less
