She is a co-producer and cinematographer on a feature length documentary with Willa Productions and Neutral Productions, supported by Impact Partners and the Sundance Institute and currently in post-production. Prior to that, she worked for the BBC in New York where she contributed to the production of short web documentaries as well as the launch of BBC’s first online film festival Longshots.
She graduated in from the documentary specialization at the Columbia Journalism School in 2019. During the program, she co-directed, produced, filmed and edited her first short film, supported by the Pulitzer Center. Holding Fire offers a behind-the-scenes look at the work of a grassroots Muslim activist in South Brooklyn during a time of unprecedented Islamophobia. The film screened at various festivals including DOC NYC, DC Shorts International Film Festival and Seattle True Independent Film Festival.
Before working in documentary, she worked as a video journalist for various news agencies and production companies in Europe, Lebanon and Tunisia.
She’s currently based in Paris, France where she is’s an organizer for the Paris chapter of Video Consortium, a non-profit aiming at supporting non-fiction filmmakers around the globe.
