I write, direct, produce, edit, do principle photography for every project I do.I can personally say one of my greatest attributes and natural talents would be my vision and the way I frame and see shots. Every day I see the world as a film and my right eye is the camera, I can visualise, create and form shots with my eyes. I can focus on objects and build and create new ideas from it. This is one of my creative techniques when it comes to thinking of new ideas and storylines for my future films. I am extremely passionate about film making It’s an ambition, a desire, I’ve dreamed off since I was ten years old which gave me the motivation to strive and to go and find my full potential with the camera in my hands. I am a 21 year old British Muslim minority, people may have preconceived notions of the way i look and dress, but I can assure you the vision and motivation I have for film making shouldn’t be judged from all those specifics because my vision has no limits. I have personally learned this craft myself from a very young age, I taught myself how to write, direct, edit form a video/film without any outside help or advise from anyone with experience in the industry. I would instinctively watch my favorite movies on repeat to look for the conventions these great film makers use to form such master pieces. I would look at the framing, the colour grading and especially the structure of a movie to form an idea to how a film is made, this put me on the right path to where I am now. The reality is I ultimately learned about film making from constantly making short movies and tv shows from the age of ten, starting from a simple lap top camera to a full HD DSLR. When I joined university I chose to study film production to dive deeper into the complexity of film making, and to take what I know and what I can do to a whole new level. I learnt a lot more in each class, ranging from visual effects to script writing to working fully-fledged tv standard video cameras and equipment. I learnt how to work such a complex camera, how to rig, set up, and fully understand each individual button of the camera. This gave me an insight and a nice head start into industry standard equipment and how to work it if I ever made it to that stage it also helped me understand the world of film in a much deeper way. I’ve worked with a diverse range of actors from different backgrounds and experience. I have the confidence to tell an actor what to do and explain my vision to them so I can bring the best out of them. I always have the control of my projects and use what I have learned for the greater good to create the best project possible without making the cast and crew feel depreciated. I have so much more to learn and want to learn this at the BBC studios. I am a creative professional that’s worked on numerous personal projects from concept to development. I want to work and be part of an established organisation that can recognize talent and develop skills to become a well-established individual in the film industry. When considering my application please note i have accomodation available to me in London.
