This course enabled me to work on the Pre-Production stages of short films and documentaries, while planning, researching and casting actors. I worked as a camera operator, using various camera equipment and working on a range of styles from drama, comedy, thriller and action. I am passionate about television and film and the work put into creating a final piece of content. The development of an idea and the collaboration of visions that come together is what inspires me to create my own content.
I believe that I am a great candidate for this role because I am passionate about what I do. Due to loving working behind the camera I have a keen eye for visual elements and can always find creating and unique ways to approach a task to ensure it appeals to the audience. Through my University work it has allowed me to work as part of a production crew. Working closely with a Director to build a shot list and a visual style for our films. Creating storyboards to visualise these elements and then follow through into production. I have a good understanding of editing software such as Photoshop and Premiere Pro, and I have access to a PC with this software to enable me to edit from home as well. I am confident when it comes to editing and I am always up for a new challenge if something is out of my comfort zone. My Studio and Office experience so far has helped me to use my University skills within a real situation and undergoing the stress and time constraints of the TV world.
