Broadcast Hot Shot 2024.

I'm James, a creative and dependable Producer with a friendly and proactive attitude.

I have experience in both Development and Production, with skills in story finding, casting, organising schedules for contributor's filming, setting up and producing MIVS, and having an editorial mind when approaching storylines. I am experienced in writing shooting scripts and running orders. I also have pitched development ideas to commissioners and work closely with relevant commissioners to update them on progress of production. I am also adept at creating casting tapes within a quick turnaround, sizzles and casting biographies.  

I have worked on a variety of Factual Entertainment shows ranging from cooking, property and access based shows working very closely with Marks and Spencer's in particular, building a strong relationship with key figures within the business, and a number of prominent food brands including KFC, Krispy Kreme and Wagamama. As well as this, I have worked on sport documentaries, where I helped to gain unprecedented access to the sport of Horse Racing, speaking to a number of sporting professionals, senior ambassadors and key racing figures.

I also have a passion for Creative Writing, with experience in Script Editing and Reading, and offered a feedback service via Twitter during COVID for aspiring writers. I also ran and taught my own Screenwriting Workshop at Inside Success, a social enterprise that works with 16-24 year olds to help develop their skills and employment chances.

In my spare time I enjoy studying Italian where I am enrolled in a language school, watching rugby and cooking. Read Less
