I am a BAFTA nominated Series Editor who has worked in the industry for over twenty years. I make entertaining, warm, uplifting, aspirational and original television.
I run happy and diverse teams of various sizes across each phase of production. I have extensive experience of guiding productions from development through to final delivery, encompassing everything from formatting and pitching to commissioners to budgeting, structuring teams, scriptwriting, overseeing shoots, and coordinating multiple edits. I developed the long running, much loved BBC series The Great British Sewing Bee and ran it as Series Editor for five years. I oversaw the series as it grew and gained an audience of over 5 million and a BAFTA nomination, while Joe Lycett was rewarded with an RTS award for Best Presenter.
I have a passion for rich, layered, immersive storytelling, and an instinct for character nuance, always able to find the funny and the emotion in the rushes. I’m experienced at shaping first and early series. I’m adept at scripting, assembling, commissioning graphics and music and managing multiple edits. I have an eye for narrative and make editorial decisions with ease. I am adept at navigating complex compliance and legal considerations and ensuring duty of care for contributors.
Accustomed to working with prominent personalities, I also have a passion for developing new talent, both on-screen and behind the scenes.
