I started playing classical guitar when I was around 12 years old, at the Niccoló Paganini Conservatory in Genoa, Italy, and I slowly transitioned to jazz guitar, studying by correspondence with Charlie Banacos in Boston. I got accepted in the jazz program at New England Conservatory of Music in 2007 where I had the chance to study in person with Charlie for 2 years, until he passed away in my sophomore year. In my junior year I switched to jazz composition and arranging, and I had the opportunity to write a piece and conduct it with the NEC Jazz Orchestra every 2 weeks. Around the same time, I took a film scoring class and I got accepted to the NYU Buddy Baker Workshop, and I decided I wanted to pursue this path for the rest of my life. Upon graduating from NEC, I enrolled in the NYU Film Scoring Master's degree and I graduated in 2014. I then moved to Los Angeles and attended the UCLA Extension Film Scoring certificate, and I have been working as an additional composer, orchestrator and MIDI programmer for composers in town for the last 6 years.
