In recent years I have relished the rise in Film & TV production in UK and considered a change in career. In my spare time i have co-run a successful Film/TV & Pop Culture site, IndieMacUser.com where we review major and independent releases. I am a critical and concise writer and would relish working in a PR or Press Liasion role, writing copy or script work.In 2019 I directed, edited & a produced a ‘Low-to-no’ budget documentary, ‘One Voice, One Mic’ about the rise of podcasting. This involved filming new interviews, gathering archive footage, working with remote crews and submissions from the UK & USA and liaising with a small post production team(composer, sound mixer & colourist). The film has screened in UK & USA and is available on Amazon Prime & Vimeo (I can also send a screener link on request). More info can be found at 1voice1mic.wordpress.com.I am currently in pre-production on a feature documentary project ‘KevHeads’ an indie documentary exploring the fandoms of writer/director Kevin Smith gathering footage from fans and events around the world; focussing on the most personal and inspiring stories as well as hearing the perspectives of some of Smith's colleagues and collaborators. We have already received some footage featuring Smith and are in talks with talent for interviews in UK & USA. The project has a built in audience and we expect it have a huge appeal (we were already able to raise some starting funds by selling merchandise with our branding). In 2012, As part of the student employment program i attended specialist training and was then employed to work on the television broadcast crew for London 2012 Olympics at Millenium Stadium, Cardiff. Role included assisting with setup of cameras, audio, OB and ancillary equipment, assisting national & foreign press and providing support to all departments of the broadcast crew.I have been employed as Technical Services Technician at Celtic Manor Resort since October 2012 looking after all in-house AudioVisual & technical provision for external/internal conferences/events and general maintenance. Working individually and as part of small and large teams, Running the technical department and managing agency staff in absence of manager on occasion, problem solving and liaising with other staff, suppliers, clients and members of the public. During my time at Celtic Manor i have worked on such events as 2014 Nato Summit, provided production for a live broadcast Boxing match and assisted film crews who have used our venue as a location; including the BBC filming episodes of Doctor Who.
