Abigail King is a British multidisciplinary researcher, designer and embroiderer. Originally from Derbyshire and is currently based near London. Initially drawn to fashion and textiles Abigail completed her UAL foundation diploma in Art and Design at Falmouth University before attending Edinburgh College of Art to study Performance Costume. Graduating in 2017, she worked on film and TV productions before returning to university for her Masters in Dress and Textile Histories at the University of Glasgow. Her work focuses on nineteenth, twentieth and twenty-first century dress and costume, she is especially interested in the creation of character for film and TV and developing her hand embroidery and embellishment skills.
