I'm a dependable & dynamic self shooting PD, Edit Producer and Series Producer with a history of delivering engaging & successful television. I have 12 years experience as a Shooting PD and Edit Producer including as a shooting PD on award winning feature length documentary, 'Murder of Sadie Hartley' following all aspects of the Lancashire police investigation with unprecedented access to forensics, CID and the various special units. The documentary was shortlisted for best single documentary at the Broadcast Awards 2017 and WON best single documentary at the RTS awards 2017. I have been shooting for the majority of the 17 years I've been in the industry menaing I have gained an abundance of shooting experience both in the UK and across the world with over 60 self-shooting credits. I've solely shot several 1 hour films but I work equally as well as part of a self-shooting team covering individual stories or in cross shooting environments. I also have experience directing single camera crews. My work has covered a wide range of show formats & genres and in the past 10 years I've moved more and more into the edit. EP'ing my own work as well as solely in the edit.

My experience and success lead to a request from C5 Commissioner Dan Louw to Series Produce Channel 5's successful 'How Do They Really Do It?' format after a one off episode I directed on TK Maxx became VIS UK's highest rating episode of 2022. 

Whether it is a gritty observational documentary, a heart wrenching investigative series or a lighthearted consumer series, I enjoy telling stories and creating something that might surprise the viewer, make them laugh or move them by what they see. I take great pride in my work and I revel in the creative aspect of producing attractive images on the ground and crafted engaging narratives in the edit as well as overseeing teams to bring the best out of them and ultiamtely the series we're working on. I'm an ideas person. I enjoy getting stuck in to new projects and thinking of creative ways to add production value to the screen. I'm very personable and I enjoy spending time with people getting to know them. Whether it is dealing with 'difficult talent', filming in confrontational environments, approaching sensitive story-lines or teasing out the subtext of the narrative...I'm experienced and accomplished at adapting to any situation.
