I have worked on documentary and investigative projects that focus on community stories and social justice issues, with a particular interest in highlighting marginalised voices. In my role with the Independent Commission of Inquiry into the 2022 Leicester violence, I have worked with the community extensively for over a year, undertaking interviews, developing a strong rapport, negotiating access, and researching the role of the global far-right, misinformation and social justice. I have extensive experience navigating hostile environments and working with vulnerable communities, ensuring sensitive and ethical storytelling.
My key skills include: Investigative research, South Asia / India expertise, building relationships with contributors, negotiating access and working in challenging and sensitive environments.
Sourcing and building relationships with contributors, negotiating access, research and development, contact finding (particularly difficult and vulnerable access) archive research, fact-checking, assiting teams and working with talent on location. I am passionate about using film/tv as a medium to disseminate my research and shed light on difficult, underrepresented stories.
I am an advocate for more diversity and inclusion in the film and TV industry. My next goal is to expand my experience in shooting and work on feature-length productions and series.

- Directing, shooting and creating my first short film; 'Ta'aleem' which is an exploration into Indian classical / Sitar education and grief. Commissioned by 198 Contemporary Arts and Learning.
