My name is Ella, I am a recent graduate from the University of Exeter, having gained a first-class bachelor’s degree with Honours in English Literature.I am enquiring about the production intern/runner position posted on the ‘people in TV: Runners’ Facebook group. Since graduating last year, I have been seeking entry level work in the production industry in order to kickstart a career in either short form or long form production. I would be extremely grateful to be considered any entry level vacancies or placement/internship opportunities; I am extremely keen to get my foot in the door and I am just searching for the right role for me to begin what I hope will be a lengthy career. I am based near London, but I am willing to travel and I am looking to relocate in the near future. I have 100% availability, and a full clean UK driver’s licence, which I have held since 2015.I consider myself to be a creative, well organised, and extremely self-motivated individual, and I am very quick to learn on the job. I have previous experience with production coordination and supporting a production team in a theatre setting, having taken part in a work placement as a runner for Pilot Theatre Company in York. I have experience configuring schedules and call sheets, liaising with crew members, and completing a variety of administrational tasks to a high standard. Although I have not had previous professional experience working in short-form media production, I do have proficient experience with video editing, including Adobe Premier Pro. I also have a comprehensive knowledge of film/media aesthetic, having studied film and media in a number of elective modules during my time at university.As a waiter in an extremely busy restaurant, I have experience with fast paced work environments and working under pressure. I have excellent customer service skills that enable me to speak confidently with new people in a personable and professional manner. Studying English at university has also provided me with superb written communication and research skills. I am capable of obtaining new information and skills not only efficiently and to a high standard, but also with genuine interest. I am also proficient in a number of computer programmes, including Microsoft office, Adobe Design Suite, and I am very comfortable using a number of social media platforms in both a personal and professional setting.
