Rodrigo Jorge is a London-based Latino writer and producer. His work explores the dichotomy between independence and belonging in stories with both humour and heart.

Rodrigo's productions have been awarded grants from National Theatre Studio, Arts Council England and the Weiner Foundation (NYC), as well as the Utah Film Center’s Documentary Fiscal Sponsorship.

He directed the award-winning short animation Animaminded, the mini-documentary [Des]Dobrar, and produced Rosana van der Meer’s Old Lady and the Sea, a stop-motion short that premiered at the prestigious Anima Mundi International Film Festival. He also directed and produced Clerc's Inferno: From page to Sign, which received several international accolades — including Best Short Documentary at the New York Short Film Festival in 2021.

Most recently, Rodrigo wrote the TV adaptation of Nicola May's best-selling novel The Corner Shop in Cockleberry Bay, which has been optioned and is currently being packaged. He was also a development producer in the film adaptation of Working It Out (another of Nicola’s novels) and is currently the story producer in the feature documentary Sister Ignatius: Mother of Ska.
