Clare Sturges is an award-winning director whose films convey powerful human stories through cinematic visuals, evocative detail and a close attention to film craft.

She was the first woman to win the BAFTA Wales Breakthrough Award in 2015 for Sexwork, Love & Mr Right, (ABC Australia / Apple TV+), which she produced and directed. She won a second BAFTA Wales Award in 2016 for My Brief Eternity and was nominated for shortform drama The Arborist in 2020. Clare was nominated for the BAFTA Wales Director Factual Award in 2023 for Charlie Mackesy: The Boy, The Mole, The Fox, The Horse and Me (Apple TV+ / BBC Two).
