I have known Clare for many years, having worked with her at the BBC for over a decade, during which time she directed and/or edit produced on a number of series that I was producing. In recent months, on returning to the BBC, I had the pleasure of working with her again. I have nothing but praise for Clare: she is a talented and committed programme-maker, with a keen eye for a story and a strong sense of visual style. She is unflappable, both on location and in the edit, and works well with pretty much anyone who comes into her orbit. Colleagues, presenters and contributors appreciate her calm assurance and, as an SP, I know I am in safe hands with Clare. She can always be relied to upon to get exactly what is needed from her shoots, and her edits run smoothly as a result. Clare rose to the challenge of remote working under lockdown, delivering quality films despite the unusual circumstances. I look forward to being able to work with Clare again in the near future, and can't recommend her highly enough.

Clare is a talented and hardworking director who thrives under pressure. The fast turnaround on Countryfile makes it more challenging than many shows but you can always count on Clare to deliver. She really get's her teeth into a story and has all sorts of directorial tricks up her sleeve to make her films sing. More than that Clare is totally unflappable and approaches each challenge with her usual good humour. She'd be an asset to any production.

Clare is a great all-rounder to have on a production team. She deals well with sticky situations and can always be relied on to deliver the goods at the end of the day. I’ve lost count of the number of times Clare had a difficult shoot on Countryfile – either down to extreme weather, changing expectations or unpredictable editorial but she always came back with a good story which she would craft into compelling tv in the edit. She’s hard-working, creative and focused. She’s also a very lovely and supportive person to have on a team.
