In university I specialised in animal behaviour, insects, ecology and marine biology and otherwise am knowledgeable in identification, anatomy and neurobiology. A large range of skills were obtained from my course which include: communication with scientists, presentations to varying group sizes, a wide knowledge on animals and plants, the ability to find new and exciting research from around the world, liaising with scientists to find out more about their research to include in my scientific paper assignments and creating and performing new research to present to supervisors. I also post my nature photography frequently on Twitter on my account @OwenJewell25 and am proud of posting a diverse range of species for others to enjoy browsing. I am driven to continue a career in natural history documentaries as they educate a wider audience than any other mediums and provide younger generations with the information to learn and make a difference in a changing world.
