I could go on for days and explain all the things I love and appreciate about the theatre, but I’ll stick to the things I learnt. I sometimes think people don’t necessarily realise the importance of creativity and the life skills that the Theatre can teach. Personally, growing up I never had much confidence; but the theatre nurtured this for me. Theatre taught me that when delivering presentations to not stand there and read from a piece of paper or the board, but to present to the room. I learnt to engage people by utilising the creativity I learnt in the theatre to not only talk about what I was presenting, but to show it. Through this I have gained the confidence to engage with large groups of people as well as one on one.Along with this I am a hardworking, friendly and polite individual. I have strong communication skills and work well under stress and pressure. I am a quick learner and enjoy learning a variety of new skills. Most importantly I am willing and want to learn, and be given the opportunity to express my creative side.
