During my time at university, I spent a year in Argentina, working for the TV and film fixing and production company, Fixer-Argentina. Here I was able to fully develop my level of confidence when networking to become a personable individual of whom can appropriately use this quality to their advantage. This role involved vast amount of negotiating between talent, locations and institutions and I therefore became significantly more skilled on arranging film shooting events and all behind the scenes scheduling (including hotel arrangements and room hires to restaurant and activity bookings for British BBC actors). One of my greatest moments is when I managed to convince the retired football player, famous Cesar Menotti, to participate in an interview he had previously refused to do for months. During my time in Events, my key responsibilities were to identify ways of increasing client satisfaction by finding the most appropriate venues using contacts and knowledge of venues both across the UK and internationally whilst simultaneously delivering the most successful event we could. Through this I learnt the importance of being able to work under pressure as well as developing administration and logistic skills when it came to contracts, invoices and negotiation. Read Less
