Read MoreI have a background in theatre and event producing, but I also have a passion for film which I studied to degree level. I have experience working multiple tasks in a fast-paced office environment at Theatre503 where I provided administrative support to the Producer and Marketing Coordinator. I have strong organisation and time management skills as I produced their artist development writer’s programme. This included four nights of new writing showcasing 14 short plays where I was responsible for the coordination of 14 writers, directors and casts, so I have a knowledge of negotiating and communicating effectively with external freelancers. Additionally, some of my other responsibilities at Theatre503 included drafting contracts, creating newsletters and marketing materials, assisting with programming, budgets and fundraising applications.I have hands-on production experience, most recently as the Video Producer for The Iris Theatre’s production of Hamlet. I was responsible for coordinating the filming schedule across locations in London and Kent whilst monitoring the progress of the video production and budget. I have an enthusiastic can-do attitude and have made personal film and video projects which have been self taught using basic equipment and software including iPhones, DSLR cameras, iMovie and Final Cut Pro. I have experience in casting and contacting agents from my work at Theatre503 and The Old Globe in San Diego.As Festival Coordinator for the Salisbury International Arts Festival I was in charge of recruiting and managing over 100 volunteers so I feel comfortable leading a team, providing company pastoral care and managing a project. I have the ability to take initiative and prioritise conflicting tasks efficiently as I was the main point of contact for artists and responsible for booking all international travel and accommodation. I am an approachable and optimistic person with great interpersonal and communication skills that I have used working in many customer facing roles and within a team.
I have meticulous attention to detail and great IT skills as throughout my education and work I have used Adobe Acrobat Reader and all Microsoft Office and Google word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software. In new jobs I have learnt how to use new programs such as Canva and Wordpress and CRM systems including Artifax, and Spektrix so I have the ability to learn new systems quickly. Whilst in lockdown I have produced a digital reading of a screenplay, and I am currently directing and producing a short film to submit to ImagiNation plays.I am a hard-working opportunity seeker and problem solver, eager to meet deadlines and carry on learning through my work. I enjoy working as part of a team which I think is really important in any job because communication is the key to success.
