Heather is currently the Executive Producer of Video Originals for Connecticut Public Media / PBS.
In her role, which she had held since 2016, Heather is responsible for conceptualizing, developing, and overseeing the production of original short-form video series and documentaries. In her role as
in-house director and producer, Heather ensures that each series stays within the vision of CP
Public’s brand image and works to elevate the station in the market by introducing new concepts,
innovative storytelling, and thought-provoking content. In addition, Heather also produces and
directs multimedia digital content that supports and expands Connecticut Public Media’s original
media properties. Most recently Heather was honored with a 2020 Gracie Award for Directing
(Television/Local) from the Alliance For Women in Media.
Heather is also an independent musician and songwriter, and she distributes original music, music
videos, and promotional materials to a global audience. She has been featured in online magazines
including TechCrunch, No Depression, CTTechJunkie, the official Google Blog, and was named a
Google “Super-User”. She was invited by Bono’s One Campaign to include a song on the social
justice Agit8 album alongside Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Costello, U2 and Mumford, and Sons.
Heather also was recognized by Congress as a social media innovator.
Prior to joining Connecticut Public Media, Heather worked for the Warner Bros. Entertainment Group
in Burbank, California in a variety of creative and production roles including editing shows for live
audiences of The Drew Carey Show, Norm, Friends, and Veronica’s Closet.
Heather is a ten-time Emmy Award-nominated producer and director. She was recognized in 2015
and 2016 with a Connecticut Music Award as the “Best Folk Artist” and in 2016 as
“Best/Singer/Songwriter” and “Best New Band”. She also earned the coveted Warner Bros. Golden
Carrot Award for Achievement and Quality Performance.
